War between retailers is boosting sales at low prices.
Sales in banana's is high as retailers keeping prices very low. The high consumption is noted in all Europe and especially in Spain were there is generally a high consumption of banana's. Also retailers in Spain are fighting hard. Aldi is trying to expand a lot in Spain and Lidl don't want to stay behind. Mercadona also fights for their market share so the circle is round.
Also outside Spain retailers are using banana's in their fruit section for triggering customers. It seems that consumption will stay high the next period and that we will not pay more for them.
