Last week, the mango harvest started in certain areas in India. Like that, there is time enough for the natural riping process.
Especailly in the Rasjhahi region they are ready to be harvested. More than 100 tons will be harvested in a week time and exported soon to the rest of the world. More than 100 farmers in the region are harvesting them and this after an intensive training in non-toxic and safe mango harvesting. Due to its geographical position, weather and quality of the soil, mangoes ripen early in this region compared with other districts in the country.
